Saved & Fly
Michelle Ellison

JG. Do you prefer I call you Michelle or Ms. Ellison?
Michelle: Michelle is fine.
JG. Okay Michelle, it says here that you work full time within your church, Miracle Temple Church. What is your position at the Baltimore based church?
Michelle: It's actually part time but it feels like full time. I'm employed as their Administrative Assistant.
JG. How long have you been saved?
Michelle: I was baptized at the age of 12 and believed in GOD prior to that but in November of 2000, I made my own conscious choice to re-dedicate myself to the LORD and was re-baptized.
JG. What and/or who is your first love?
Michelle: Outside of Jesus Christ being above all, my beautiful young son is the love of my life! I am also in charge of the Singles Ministry of my church.
JG. Ok. Tell us a little about how that came about.
Michelle: Well, I have always had this desire, this passion to work with the Singles Ministry. So last year at our church picnic the Pastor asked me which ministry I was going to get involved in and I told him Singles Ministry and next thing I knew I was in charge of it. I gladly accepted the responsibility in December 2006. My assistant and I came up with the acronym S.U.R.E.A.L. which stands for "Singles United in Reaching Everyone's Available Light", and we've been rolling with it ever since!
JG. It's interesting that you referred to the Singles Ministry as a passion. How so?
Michelle: When you encourage and uplift people's lives in a powerful way; when what you do constantly challenges yourself and others to seek a closer relationship with Christ, it is a motivator like nothing else. This is how I feel about S.U.R.E.A.L.
JG. So, why did you start the website www.letsconnect2day.net?
Michelle: The name started because I like to connect people to different services, events and ideas. So I started a weekly email update about the S.U.R.E.A.L. Ministry as a method to keep our singles abreast of different activities. But, as I ventured into a virtual assistant form of entrepreneurship, I figured it was catchy enough to build my brand as a business woman.
JG. Virtual Assistant...What's that?
Michelle: You can log onto my site and see the many services I offer. In a nutshell, a virtual assistant is a few jobs in one. It encompasses the duties of a personal assistant. I outsource myself to do specific tasks for new and small business, entrepreneurs, or long standing businesses that have lost their productive edge due to disorganization and poor time management skills. Once I'm in the door, I'm always on point to give the company exactly what they need. Usually the hardest part is the trust factor. People want and even NEED the help, but it can be hard to allow someone you don't know into your confidential business affairs. I make it my motto to demonstrate that I am just as serious about their business as they are. I do it unto God, not unto man. So, I approach it as excellence in Ministry.

JG. What are your future plans?
Michelle: Most immediately, on August 31st through September 2nd, the Singles Ministry will be hosting an entire weekend of activities, fellowship, guest speakers, fun, and more. I would love to see a large turnout. In terms of letsconnect2day.net, the term "Let's Connect" can encompass so many things. For example, connecting people to the LORD, connecting people to the community, connecting people with fellowship, connecting people to business opportunities, etc. I am also a Personal Organizer for individuals who would like to organize a room in their home and learn (hands-on) how to keep it that way. I would love to franchise it years from now so others can have their own business...have the business working for itself. Now that would be awesome!
JG. I agree. Thank you for your time and thanks for registering with us to become an official Jesus groupie!
Michelle: Thank you Indigo and God bless.
